Edna Charlap
Ms. Charlap joined Vitalife in 2002 and became a venture partner in 2009. Her main responsibilities are investor relations, business development and financial planning for the portfolio companies.   She came to Vitalife with over 20 years of extensive experience in assurance, tax, transactions and advisory services for organizations and corporations.

Before joining Vitalife, Ms. Charlap worked for ten years in accounting firms in the U.S. focusing on corporate structures, evaluations, IPO markets and tax planning.  She specialized in mergers and acquisitions, risk management, licensing, and royalty transactions.

Prior to this Ms. Charlap worked for five years in Israel at Clal Group (Clal Management),  a prominent Israeli holding  company, which at that time  had aggregate annual consolidated sale in excess of $2.5 billion and 32 publicly-traded subsidiaries.   Clal Group companies are among the top in Israel’s industrial, financial, electronics, real estate, tourism, insurance and healthcare sectors.  At Clal she provided audit services, ongoing business consulting, and business development for a large number of portfolio companies in different sectors.

Previous to her experience at Clal, Ms. Charlap worked in a leading accounting firm where she managed the auditing of large companies in the automotive (Fiat Israel), food and consumer industries. Additionally, she provided services of tax planning, Investment Center and business consulting.

Ms. Charlap holds a B.A. in accounting and economics from the Tel Aviv University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Israel. She is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Israel and a former member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
